Berkman on the shelf
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) _ Houston All-Star first baseman Lance Berkman will have minor surgery on his left knee and miss two-to-four weeks. That could sideline him for opening day. The 34-year-old was injured during a baserunning drill on March 1. Berkman skipped the Astros spring training opener before playing in five straight games as the knee continued to swell.
