Lopers begin season far from home

Kearney- The UNK Volleyball team begins the season late Thursday night in Hawaii against Hawaii BYU. Coach Rick Squires feels the Lopers will have their work cut out for them as volleyball is a big thing in the islands. The Lopers will also take on Cal Poly Hawaii, Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade before starting home on Sunday. UNK begins the season ranked 14th in the preseason AVCA Division Two rankings and are the favorite to win the RMAC conference this season.
