High school basketball recaps

These are basketball recaps from friday night from area schools that we have received.

The Lexington Minutmen fell to Ogallala 48-39. Lexington had a 16-10 lead midday through the second quarter but the Indians got the lead by half at 26-22 and never looked back. Lexington struggled on offense as they turned the ball over 23 times and shot just 34% from the field. RJ Seberger led the Minutemen with 12 points before he fouled out early in the fourth quarter.

In the girls game, Lexington erased a 7 point first half deficit and held on 48-44. They led just 34-33 going into the fourth quarter. Hailey Mandelko scored 11 of her game high 20 points as the Minutemaids were able to hold Ogallala off. Megan Sculley was next is scoring for Lexington as she had 7 points off the bench. The Minutemaids and Minutemen are on the road tonight at Gothenburg.

The Eustis Farnam girls and boys began the season on Friday night hosting Cambridge. In the boys game, DJ Dunlap had a night to remember as he had 27 points and 10 steals to lead the Knights to a 62-44 win. Drew Wetovick was also in double figures with 12 points. On the girls side, Eustis Farnam lost 35-21. Cambridge's defense held the Knights to just 30% shooting. Britt Edson paced Eustis Farnam with 10pts.
