Shannon Lovin has been hired as the new boys basketball coach at Minden high school. He takes over for Dave Mroczek who stepped down this summer due to health concerns. Lovin has spent time at several different schools as a coach around the area in his career. His first coaching stop was at Wheeler Central where he was the head football coach and assistant in boys basketball and track 1992-95. Lovin then spent time at Eustis-Farnam high school as an assistant Football coach and head girls basketball coach from 1995-2002. He then went to Wilcox-Hildreth and was the head Football coach and head girls basketball coach 2002-2005. Lovin's next stop was at Silver Lake high school where he was the head football coach and asst. girls BB 2005-2008. He takes over a program that has made back to back appearences at the Class C-1 state tournament.
