Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles
Lexington Boy Scout Troop 88 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony on Sunday, November 8 at Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles starting at 3:30 p.m. The ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place on the south side of the museum facility, located near the Lexington I-80 interchange. The flag code states that “worn out flags should be destroyed in a dignified manner, preferably by burning.” Heartland Museum accepts flags in need of retirement. If local citizens or organizations have flags in need of retirement, they may leave them with Heartland Museum or they may bring them to the ceremony. Troop 88 is chartered to Grace Lutheran Church, Lexington.
