LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ A World War II veteran died on a return flight to Lincoln after being honored for his military service. Donald Dragoo of Lincoln was on a Heartland Honor Flight with 116 other Nebraska veterans. An organization that pays tribute to veterans flies them to Washington, D.C., so they can visit the World War II Memorial and see other sights. One of the flight's organizers, Bill Williams, says the 91-year-old Dragoo was in poor health but able to visit the memorial. Williams says Dragoo became unresponsive about 20 minutes before the plane landed at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday. The cause of death was not immediately known. A daughter of Dragoo was on board and had accompanied him throughout the tour. ___ Information from: Lincoln Journal Star, http://www.journalstar.com (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press.
