A Missouri man plans to revive the annual music series in the Nebraska sandhills formerly known as the Comstock Windmill Festival. Some lawsuits and unpaid bills against former organizers would likely have prevented the country and rock music series to be held this year. But, Jim Proskocil of Plattsburg, Missouri said Monday he has acquired the festival property and plans to hold country and rock concerts there in June and July. Proskocil declined to release any further plans but, expects web site and ticket information will be available in about a week.
Proskocil was born in Sargent, grew-up just two miles from the concert site and graduated from Ord High School, the university of Nebraska and the University of Missouri. He has about 17 years experience in county fair management in northwest Missouri and has also worked with the Missouri State Fair.
