Tyler Brockman
A Kearney man was bound over for trial on an animal cruelty charge during an appearance in Dawson County court in Lexington. 21 year old old Tyler Brockman had a preliminary hearing scheduled for 3:15 Tuesday afternoon. Brockman waived his preliminary hearing and Judge Carlton Clark bound him over to district court. Brockman will be arraigned in district court at a late date. He is accused of dragging a horse behind his trailer after the Sumner Rodeo on July 4th. The horse died of its injuries. Brockman is charged with cruel neglect of an animal in Dawson county and has pleaded not guilty to a driving under the influence charge in Buffalo county. Brockman's Buffalo county trial on that charge is set for Oct. 13th.
