Outage affects Overton and Elm Creek
Dawson Public Power District reports that a power line east of Overton broke Friday morning causing safety equipment on the electrical system to turn the power off to portion of eastern Dawson County. The outage began shortly after 8:00am and affected Overton, Elm Creek and customers south of Overton according to Dawson Power. Nebraska Public Power District restored power to their Elm Creek customers at 9:18am and Dawson's customers had power restored by 10:15am.
