Lex. blood drive organizers short of donors
Organizers say they're 20 donors short of reaching their goal for a blood drive Saturday, Aug. 29th in Lexington. The blood drive, at the Presbyterian Church from 8 a.m. to noon, is needed to offset a seasonal drop in donors. Kay Grinde, Unit Manager for Dawson and Gosper County Red Cross was in the studio this week along with Lexington Middle School teacher Lisa Fricke. Fricke and her homeroom at Lexington Middle School are hosting Saturday's blood drive. Both are hoping for a good turnout. Those wanting to make an appointment to donate blood can call Delores White at 324-3304. Another blood drive will be held tommorrow (Friday), Aug. 28th from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lexington Masonic Center, 810 N. Washington, hosted by Thistle Masonic Lodge.
