Obama campaign canvassing in Omaha, Lincoln
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ The Obama campaign is going door-to-door in Omaha and Lincoln this weekend to talk to people about the Democratic presidential nominee. The canvasses are open to the public. Barack Obama's campaign recently confirmed its interest in Nebraska's five electoral votes by hiring a state campaign director, Nebraskan John Berge. Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe, has said the campaign will pursue the electoral vote tied to Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District, which includes Omaha. Nebraska is one of only two states that can split its electoral votes. Berge says while resources will be focused on Omaha, the campaign will work statewide.
