FULLERTON, Neb. (AP) _ Nance County residents angry with their county attorney because he sued the local government over funding for his office have failed in their effort to recall him. Jeff Cuba, the recall petition's primary circulator, says he and others are short of the 592 signatures needed to force a recall election for Rodney Wetovick. Wetovick sued the Nance County Board of Supervisors after it rejected his request to hire a full-time secretary. Wetovick says the board told him when he was hired that he could hire the secretary to help enforce child support laws. But Wetovick says the board changed its mind when he asked to add the position during the next budget cycle. A hearing on the case is set for April 30.
