Neb. Guard to use 2 planes for Memorial Day salute
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Nebraska National Guard officials say two aircraft will be used for Memorial Day salutes over 136 Nebraska cemeteries. Two KC-135R Stratotankers will make the flights. Fly-over destinations include Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, east of North Platte and farther west to Paxton, just east of the Panhandle. The planes are four-engine jet aircraft used for aerial refueling. They are operated by the Guard's 155th Aerial Refueling Wing, which is based at the Lincoln airport.
