Lex. man facing assault charges back in court next week
A Lexington man facing attempted murder and sexual assault charges has had his next court appearance continued to next Monday. Dawson county authorities say 51 year old William G. Fellers III is accused of using a T-shirt to choke a woman and sexually assault her, Saturday, October 10th at a rural Lexington residence. Fellers is charged with first-degree attempted murder and first-degree sexual assault, both Class II felonies; first-degree false imprisonment, a Class IIIA felony; strangulation and making terroristic threats, both Class IV felonies; third-degree domestic assault, a Class I misdemeanor; and violation of a protection order, a Class II misdemeanor. He is being held without bond. The matter remains under investigation by the Dawson County Sheriff's office. Fellers' preliminary hearing is now set for 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 26, in Dawson County Court in Lexington.
