Stapleton enters not guilty plea

P.J. Stapleton
A woman charged in connection with the murder of a rural Lexington man made an appearance in Dawson County District Court Tuesday. 29 year old P.J. Stapleton entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of being an accessory to a felony in the death of 49 year old Rodney Marshall. Stapleton's trial was set for Aug. 18th. Stapleton's bond was lowered to $30,000 cash. It was previously set at $50,000. Should she post bond, she would be required to live with her parents at Stamford, Nebraska, located in Harlan county. Family members and friends of Rodney Marshall were again on hand at Tuesday's arraignment. Marshall's sister Tammy Heying said "we're here for Rodney...justice for Rodney. We're going to be here every time."
