Lincoln, Neb. firefighters face charges
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Two members of the Lincoln Fire Department who had been arrested on suspicion of drug counts have been charged. Firefighter Mark Eberspacher was in a Lancaster County court Monday to face charges of stealing a dying woman's painkillers. The 54-year-old Eberspacher is charged with theft and possession of a controlled substance. His next court appearance was set for Sept. 25. A paramedic, 28-year-old John Massie, also was in court Monday to face drug charges. Authorities believe Massie stole morphine from an ambulance. Massie is set to return to court next month.
