Fire cause determined in Duncan
Published Thursday, November 08, 2007 at 11:28 AM
Investigators say a Monday afternoon fire in an Opplinger Farms shop building near Duncan in Platte County destroyed a pickup and a pontoon boat and caused estimated 60-thousand dollars damage. Authorities ruled the fire as accidental as the blaze probably was ignited by corn stalk debris after the pickup had been driven through a cornfield. No injuries were reported in the Monday afternoon fire.
