Members of the Nebraska Rural Radio Association gathered in Lexington Monday for the annual meeting. Audience members heard reports from officers and radio station staff members.
Berwyn rancher Kevin Cooksley was re-elected to the Board of Directors. New board members elected include producers Bill Luckey of Columbus and David Rowe of Johnson Lake.
The N-R-R-A's Service to Agriculture Award was presented to former Sen. Elaine Stuhr of Bradshaw. Stuhr told annual meeting attendees to speak out on agricultural issues by talking to legislators about ag policy and to get involved in the work of ag organizations and commodity groups.

The Nebraska Rural Radio Association was formed in 1948 with the purpose of establishing a radio station in out-state Nebraska to provide weather and ag market information. KRVN-AM went on the air in 1951. In later years, stations were added in Scottsbluff and West Point to expand it's coverage across the state.
