Wet Harvest Causes Bin Safety Concerns
In light of last year's unique corn harvest, the National Corn Growers Association urges growers to pay special attention to grain bin safety this spring.

In a recent article, Purdue Extension Grain Storage Specialist Matt Roberts said, "The biggest grain bin safety concerns this year are related to mold. Damaged and moldy grain often clumps together and causes clogs."

In finding a solution to these clogs, many people take risks without even realizing that they are putting themselves in jeopardy. Most often, they climb inside of the storage bin in an effort to remove clumps and allow grain to flow freely.
