Growth Energy Says USDA Crop Report Dismisses Myths
Based on the latest crop report from USDA - Growth Energy notes American farmers are expected to produce 12.3-billion bushels of corn. That would be the second largest U.S. corn crop in history. That - according to Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis - confirms the productive capacity of American agriculture is second to none. Buis says farmers are growing abundant corn crops on seven-percent fewer acres than in 2007 - which further dispels the myth that large land use changes are occurring at home or abroad. Speaking of which -Buis is asking big food companies to stop perpetuating the myth that farmers can’t produce enough corn for both food and fuel and to look at the facts.
