LEXINGTON – Dawson County Farm Bureau will put the spotlight on teamwork during their annual banquet and business meeting on Sept. 15 at Mac’s Creek Vineyard and Winery.
Guest speaker will be Aaron Davis, founder of the speaking and consulting firm, Aaron Davis Presentations, Inc. Davis has traveled extensively speaking on finding peak performance and urging individuals and organizations to strive for championship teamwork. His message has been shared with over a million people throughout he United States and abroad.
He is the author of the book, "10 Minute Truths" and is the co-author of two others.
He has received the Chamber of Commerce "Outstanding Minority Owned Business" award and Toastmasters International awarded him the "Communication and Leadership Award."
While in college at the University of Nebraska, Davis was a member of the 1994 National Championship football team. He reminds audiences that the awards and accolades they receive are fantastic, but true success and excellence begins with those you care and love the most.
Davis lives in Nebraska with his wife, Brooke, a Sumner native, and their children Aden, Keenan and Niya.
The evening begins with a Windsor chop dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by Davis’ talk and the annual business meeting. Officers will be elected for the 2008-09 term and members attending will discuss and vote on county, state and national policy recommendations.
Seating is limited and deadline to purchase tickets is Sept. 7.
