Argentine farmers to stay on strike until May 21

BUENOS AIRES, May 15 (Reuters) - Argentine farmers will extend their strike against higher taxes on grains exports until May 21, farm leaders said on Thursday.

The heads of Argentina's four leading farm groups also have requested a meeting with President Cristina Fernandez to discuss the tax scheme, said Eduardo Buzzi, president of the Argentine Agrarian Federation.
