Kansas man killed when tractor tips over onto him
SALINA, Kan. (AP) _ A 40-year-old central Kansas man has died after a small tractor tipped over on top of him in a pasture. The Saline County Sheriff's Office says Norman Giroux of Bridgeport was towing the burned wreck of a Jeep from the pasture when the tractor flipped backward on top of him. Sheriff's Capt. Brian Shea says the man's teenage son witnessed the accident east of Mentor and called authorities. Shea says the 1950s-era International Harvester Farmall flipped over after the Jeep caught on a rut in the field.© 2010 The Nebraska Rural Radio Association. All rights reserved.
