Cuming County Feeders Association Annual Banquet
The 2009 Cumming County Feeders Association banquet was attended by more than 600 people on Saturday evening, April 18th. The annual banquet was held at the Nielsen Community Center in West Point, Nebraska. Governor Dave Heineman and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association President, Gary Voogt, were highlights of the evening program. Voogt provided inspiration for cattle producers, reminding those in attendance “It takes everyone working together.” Nebraska’s number one beef producing county provided a night of entertainment featuring blue-collar comedian, Ross Bennett. The Cuming County Feeders Association recognized the hard work of producers across the county and state, as the 55 year old organization continues to help feed the world from the epicenter of cattle feeding. Governor Heineman said, “It is a great day in Nebraska when you can enjoy the spring Husker football game and Nebraska beef.”
